Proposal: Chess

Since this is a question about Chess professionals and enthusiasts, I was wondering if this would be the right place to ask questions related to AI implementations for Chess games.

As much as I love Chess, I also looked some time ago at algorithms to create AIs for it, and would like at some point in time to take it further, so I'm wondering if this is an acceptable place to discuss such things with people who are passionate about the subject, or if this should be posted on some other sites related to programming.

This is a site for chess players, and not a technical forum. So unless your question is about rules clarifications or deeper strategies about how a chess player thinks, creating AI algorithms is better left to the technical forums.
