Proposal: Veganism & Vegetarianism
Because reasons of being vegan or vegetarian varies, I wonder if questions that do not ask about food would be accepted.
For example, is talking about "vegan clothes" or "vegan cosmetics" be on-topic?

Yes - as you've mentioned people become a Vegetarian or Vegan for different reasons (Health/Environment/Ethical values etc.) so any of these topics would be up for discussion. In fact, even if an item is not Vegan but you would like to find a Vegan alternative to it, that would be fine also.
