Should I notify the followers of a closed proposal if I restart it?

If I've restarted a proposal that was closed, then should I notify the followers of the original proposal? If I should, how should I do it?

I think this is a matter of opinion, I would recommend it so that the number of followers would increase, but its not necessary. If you were to do I would start it back up, and email the original proposers if possible. If its not possible its OK the world won't end ^{_{(or will it?)}}.
