Proposal: Embedded Systems

We had a private beta before that folded due to lack of participation. The questions from there weren't an insignificant amount, were distributed amongst other SE sites where appropriate. Since this second go 'round is close to a private beta, are those questions gone for good? Is there a way to get them back?

On the page of the failed proposal, you can download a dump of the content of the failed proposal. You can also do a web search for “migrated from embedded.stackexchange.com” to find the questions that were migrated from other sites. You may repost questions and answers to the new site, with attribution of course (unless they're your own posts).

But don't do this too much! The previous attempt failed because there wasn't enough content. Artificially adding a couple dozen questions during the first week would not help the growth potential of the site. If this proposal doesn't draw more traffic, it won't be any more viable than the first one.

  • Artificially adding a couple dozen questions during the first week would not help the growth potential of the site. Yeah, I thought about that after posting this question, I didn't want it to appear that way, but there were some helpful questions the first time around, just not enough of them lol

  • There are many ways to solve embedded systems problem. So posting problems that were solved in the recent past, I would not consider artificial. Base ones experience each person would approach the problem differently. A second and third approach to solve the same problem will benefit to community as well as build good content Commented Jul 9, 2015 at 10:38
