Proposal: Geography

From my limited observations - the previous iteration of this proposal ran out of steam, then ran out of time.

What can we do to ensure that this proposal sees success?

    I think we need to share it more, unless a person sees this it is nearly impossible to get followers. also need to add interesting questions with pictures.

At this stage (October 2017) we need:

9 more questions with a score of 10 or more

This isn't hard, people. Be smart and maximise your vote usage. Here's how:

Make sure you've used all 5 of your votes.

There are over 100 users following this proposal - that's over 500 votes. We only need 400 to get to beta.

If you haven't used your votes, you can help get a beta launched by voting for some of the example questions here. But don't just place your votes anywhere...

Place your votes effectively

  1. If you placed a vote on a question with over 10 votes, it's wasted. Place your votes strategically to get exactly 10 votes per question. No more, no less. Currently that's 22 wasted votes.

  2. Don't vote for closed questions. Votes for closed questions don't count. Currently there are two closed questions with 10 votes. Could those people re-vote - that's another 20 wasted votes.

  3. Avoid downvoting. If a question is bad, leave a comment to suggest improvement rather than downvoting. If you downvote, it takes someone else's vote to regain that lost vote.

    Experience has shown this to be epically poor advice. A proposal leads to a successful launch when you find more people to actually support it. This type of vote gerrymandering only pushes up the numbers at any cost without actually gaining any further support to show for it. Vote engineering and fake progress have doomed more private betas than I care to recall. This will not help create a successful site.
