I committed to this proposal in its early days and I've done my best to help it advance, so I was very happy when we reached the commitment phase. However, this happened over a month ago and so far we have managed to get only 38% of the needed committers.
I read similar discussions elsewhere in the site and I found some interesting answers, for example this one or this other one. They all seem to stress the need for high-reputation committers, and surely most of the people who have confirmed their interest in the proposal are active on mroe than one site and have interesting reputation levels.
In my opinion, the point here is that a somewhat relevant percentage of those who initially supported the proposal, maybe even asking questions, have not confirmed their commitment now. I suppose we all received an email when commitment phase was reached, so I guess that their non participation is a choice. So, here comes the issue: should we try to attract other people, by linking the proposal to our profiles for example, or should we try and contact (not the way I did it before, however) those who supported the proposal in the first place? I'm taking it for granted that the percentage of high-reputation users over the whole of them is already correct.
And if I'm worrying too much about the slow progression pace, please let me know. Thanks!!!
