Is there any site related to Linux mint? If not may be we can start a site where any issues related to Linux mint will be fixed. It will cover every thing related to Linux mint.Similar to askubuntu.com.

I made one here: area51.stackexchange.com/proposals/52257/linux-mint ...in the hopes that it would happen, however there are good reasons for it not to happen. Also see: unix.stackexchange.com/questions/tagged/linux-mint, and forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=127848 – wulftone Mar 8 '13 at 1:16

1Maybe we can test demand with a demo? – orschiro Dec 17 '17 at 7:51
Mint questions are on-topic for both Unix and Linux and Super User. As for a Mint-specific (or any distro-specific site other than Ubuntu) web site, this subject has been discussed extensively (e.g. here) and the current consensus is that Ask Ubuntu is a very specific case.

3I argue the point: Ubuntu is no more specific than any other Linux distribution, so it could have been merged with U&L. Yet, due to strong votes against the merger, Ask Ubuntu still exists. If we have sites for specific Linux distributions, despite them being a possible duplicate of U&L, then it makes no sense for Linux Mint to not have a site on SE, especially with so many people using it. – user145906 Dec 4 '15 at 18:05

Ubuntu questions are also "on-topic for both Unix and Linux and Super User" – Wilhelm Erasmus Dec 10 '15 at 19:27

Why is ubuntu special? I also argue for distro specific sites. As each distro has its own experts. I vote for SUSE. – dorien Mar 28 '16 at 20:44

If elementaryOS was able to get its own community, will Linux Mint also be able to receive one?
-
Quite possibly, but it will take a LOT of effort to show that it can be separated from U&L. – user145906 Dec 4 '15 at 18:06

@BorWal What makes it different from Ubuntu and elementaryOS? IMHO Unix and Linux is more for hardcore Linux stuff. e.g. source-based distros and kernel hacking. – Wilhelm Erasmus Dec 10 '15 at 19:28

@BorWal Moreover, I could imagine a lot of questions related to Cinnamon and other projects which are very Linux Mint specific. – orschiro Dec 11 '15 at 12:02
