I didn't know whether to post here or at Meta SO, so I went here because the Area51 tag there said "If the question is only relevant for Area 51, it should be asked there." So here we are.

I made my first commit, to the Politics proposal. I see that it's in private beta and I see that there is activity happening, but I can't sign up because I never received an e-mail.

I saw this question that seemed similar, but this question seemed to be about launching the private beta, which has already been done here as far as I can tell.

  • If I did not receive an e-mail, how is this remedied?

  • If I did receive an e-mail that was filtered or accidentally deleted or something, how can I get it resent?

  • If I'm not supposed to get it yet, how would I know that? This subject didn't seem to be addressed in the FAQs.

I just don't want to miss the private beta and I don't want to blow my commitment!

As a workaround, I could send you an invite — I'm in the private beta. I think I need your e-mail address to do so.

Thanks so much for doing that for me. I would still like to see this addressed though!

Brendan - we sent two emails to you. I will forward them to you again as a test to make sure you have us properly whitelisted.

I received the forwarded e-mails. Thank you! Does this happen to others?

  • this doesn't answer the question. Solves this problem but provides no resolution to future answer seekers.
