Proposal: Education Technology

Shouldn't this and gamafication be linked somehow?

As far as I understand, no: gamification is quite a specific thing and not specifically related to education technology (though one could use gamification for education technology). From wikipedia:

Gamification refers to service design aiming to provide game-like experiences.1 In practice gamification commonly applies to non-game applications and processes.[2] Gamification's proponents argue that it works by making technology more engaging,[3] by encouraging users to engage in desired behaviors,[4] by showing a path to mastery and autonomy, by helping to solve problems and being more engaging, and by taking advantage of humans' psychological predisposition to engage in gaming.[5]
