I tried to find the Stack Exchange site for discussing computer hardware and networking related issues, but I couldn't! I think that's because there's no such site!

I believe it will be really worthy to start a such a site, as I already have few issues to discuss.

There are already two Stack Exchange sites that you can ask questions about hardware and networking related issues:

Super User

From the site's FAQ:

What kind of questions can I ask here?

Super User is for computer enthusiasts and power users. If you have a question about …

  • computer hardware
  • computer software
  • personal and home computer networking

Server Fault

From the site's FAQ:

What kind of questions can I ask here?

Server Fault is for Information Technology Professionals needing expert answers related to managing computer systems in a professional capacity.

If your question is about…

  • Server and Business Workstation operating systems, hardware, software and virtualization
  • Enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery
  • Network routing, switches, and firewalls
  • Operations, maintenance, and monitoring

and it is not about…

  • Anything in a home setting

Interestingly, you seem to have accounts on both sites.

  • Superuser is OK, but I think network engineers can have highly technical issues that would cloud the waters for average "superusers". Maybe a group "Professional Network Engineering"? Dec 7, 2012 at 9:59
  • @JimGarrison, we seem to have built sufficient support for a professional network engineering beta: see Network Engineering Dec 30, 2013 at 10:10
