I agree with you, Apart from Bollywood i believe there should be separate tag for all regional movies. I suppose movie reviews and other personal questions about actors must be considered off topic.

  • Agreed. Though questions about actors or any other Indian celebrity should be allowed unless it's too descriptive or can't be confirmed from official source.

Adding more views to answer of Ankit Sharma. (Please note I am also from India.)

Proposed India site for those enthusiastic about Indian culture, history, government and politics. But I strongly believe we should follow http://movies.stackexchange.com for Movies and TV shows. It's already built-in site and it's in public beta(will graduate soon). And it is have whole global scope. We can show our culture and movies by asking questions there. And can get reviews from other country people. It is site for all languages movies and TV shows. We need your support to graduate this site. And spread world of indian movies.

There is also one chat room http://movies.stackexchange.com about Indian Movies. We can discuss about reviews of Indian movies there.

No, there is no need for it. There is already a site dealing for it -movies.stackexchange.com. Where you can ask about any Indian Movie or TV show.

This will only rise cross posting between M&TV and India site.

No I don't think so. I (probably many others as well) don't want to just see the site turn into a site discussing the top box office earnings of latest movies, and populate the hot questions page.

Discussing the history of movies or other actors of the Golden Era would seems to be on-topic.

I think, bollywood should be a tag in India SE. The questions should not overlap to Movies SE.

  • Its very tough to avoid overlapping Jan 29, 2013 at 17:53
