I recently started using SO about a month ago and joined some Area 51 sites in all three phases. After a while I started to notice that some sites just don't seem to move. I then realized I was a Johnny-Come-Lately. If I had seen a timeline graph of the number of people following/committed/using the site over time it would have become evident that I was merely giving hope to something that was dead or dying. I know there are stats posted but that is only a snapshot, it's not the position but the velocity over time that I want to know. So a picture, or in this case a graph, is worth a thousand words. :)
