I've been over the 10 non-CW posts limit for several days (see my Sports.SE beta profile). I read several meta posts (Commitment Indicator and Formula to Fulfilling a Commitment) that indicate that while there might be a 24 hour delay in marking a commitment as fulfilled, 10 non-CW posts should be enough to do the trick. I've been over the limit for at least four days, so I'm curious.

Does the site need to complete the private beta before the commitment is marked as fulfilled or has the formula changed? Just wondering...

I think that the site needs to exit private beta before the commitments are evaluated, though this is only based on my observation, I have no official confirmation for that. Feb 15, 2012 at 17:33
  • @Fabian, thanks - that might be it. Hopefully someone official can confirm. :)

Looks like Sports.SE is heading out to public beta soon, so I'll be able to confirm in the near future.

Based on our experience with the Mathematica site, yes, commitments aren't fulfilled until the end of private beta. Many of us had already posted ten answers at that point. A few minutes after the site went to public beta, I got a notification that my commitment was fulfilled, and that two people who I had referred had also fulfilled their commitment.

  • Thanks for clarifying! Hadn't seen the end of private beta thing, so was wondering about the mechanics of fulfillment.
