Will another proposal for Stack Overflow in another language be acceptable now?

I am considering creating a Stack Overflow in Thai proposal on Area 51. I did some research, and this post from March 2020 is the most recent information I can find about proposals for new non-English sites. The post says that the system will not accept new proposals for new Stack Overflow language sites anymore.

The question is, is it acceptable now to create proposals for new non-English Stack Overflow sites or does that old post still represent the latest policy?

No, nothing has changed since then and there is still nothing planned. We will not accept entirely non-English site proposals.

For future readers: we will announce if this ever changes. We won't secretly decide behind the scenes that we're going to allow it again and wait for someone to propose one. If you're not finding anything more recent, it's because there is no recent change to discuss on it.
