Here's how to connect your Stack Exchange profiles together so that you can put your reputation from those sites behind your commitment to this proposal.

  1. Visit https://meta.stackexchange.com. The home page of meta.stackexchange.com
  2. Click log in and use your regular Stack Overflow credentials. The login screen of meta.stackexchange.com
  3. Confirm that you want to link your Stack Overflow site. Confirmation dialog asking if you want to link your Stack Overflow account with your Meta Stack Exchange account
  4. Now visit this proposal on Area 51 and click ‘sign up’ – not ‘log in’ enter image description here
  5. Commit to the proposal by clicking ‘commit!’

    Also i think it takes a day before your contributions show up on area51 after you link ur accounts

definitely make sure you're registered/logged in to area51 before committing to the proposal to avoid UX hell
