forum.cardano.org is a good place to raise questions related to pool operation or any technical question related to wallet usage, or anything.. also there is a official Telegram channel where you can ask anything.

My problem with Telegram is hard to find already answered questions.. And forum.cardano.org can not be moderated as good as stackExchange site in terms of editing questions/answers, flag something if duplicated or can be closed if not related...

So if there will be a cardano stackexchage site should members of the forum/telegram be redirected to here if there have specific questions?

Proposal: Cardano

  • As long as the answers answer the question stated, there's no reason to not use it. Telegram isn't indexed by search engines, so you can't rely on the availability of the information there, as well as with any other messaging app. The Cardano forum might be updated to refer people here for problem-solving. – Sebastian Palma Feb 20 at 13:06

Yes, this is a better platform than telegram for FAQ's, technical help, scoring of answers etc. Telegram is great for joining in discussions that are hot/current topics, but not so good for finding the best answers to a specific question.

But at the moment, this site (Area51) is about getting the Beta up and running. Once that is done the beta site will be the place to post Cardano related questions.

To this point, The Cardano community has a presence on Twitter, Reddit, Telegram, Discord, Cardano Forums (Discourse Platform). None of these other platforms can recreate StackExchange's unique set of attributes that make it the best choice for knowledge trading and cataloging specific technical problems/solutions. – MobileDanceTeam Mar 3 at 7:26

I completely agree, finding answers to questions on Telegram is a challenge. The StackExchange / StackOverflow model is far more helpful. – heathdrobertson Mar 17 at 16:42

Most of the questions being asked in telegram channels and Discord can be posted in StackOverflow right now. This will improve the visibility of Cardano in the developer community. – raghu Mar 20 at 3:30
