Proposal: æternity

We are looking to improve the title description to the æternity proposal on stackexchange.

This is the original title for the proposal:

all æternity dæpps developers and its community looking to build next era distributed platforms

Some questions arose:

  1. What distributed platforms?
  2. Distributed systems in general?
  3. Distributed databases?

If someone has to ask these questions, they are not your target audience. The description is fine for its purpose, and the inclusion of meta commentary in it is not appropriate. – Nij Jan 2 at 5:35

@Nij To be clear the meta commentary in the description is not their fault It was really another user who added that. area51.stackexchange.com/users/9594/… – Henry WH Hack v3.0a Jan 2 at 21:24
  • However, as the proposal creator, they have the ability to fix it, and didn't bother before posting an unhelpful meta question. – Nij Jan 2 at 21:31

You don't need a massively detail description. An example is the proposal page for Matters Modeling, notice that a very simple description was used. – Henry WH Hack v3.0a Jan 3 at 10:37
  • Thanks, I was about to do it @nij – Omar Saadoun Jan 3 at 10:56

æternity is a blockchain (http://wwww.aeternity.com) and it's decentralized and distributed by birth and it allows developers to create their own platforms on top of it taking advantage of Oracles, Namings system, Smart contracts and more. (http://github.com/aeternity)

For me the best description is to tell that it is a highly scalable and lightning fast blockchain technology (built fully on ERLANG) but let's discuss what a good short, clear and descriptive title would be.

Final title:

Proposed Q&A site for all æternity developers and the community that are interested in building the æternity blockchain platform.

The actual description is simple short and good enough for the proposal. – Omar Saadoun Jan 5 at 10:50
