I've noticed that new groups are being formed on Stack Exchange. This is the first place I come to post programming questions. Can we also have a Stack Exchange site for filmmakers? It would cover questions having to do with film production, including cinematography, budgeting, directing, producing, special effects, etc.

Any thoughts?

There is a proposal on Area 51. You may also be interested in the Theatre proposal there.

In addition to the filmmaker proposal, there is also Audio-Video Production, currently in beta. This covers some of the technical aspects.
