Proposal: Dockers are currently a new hype, and although we've a docker tag on stackoverflow, it doesn't feel quite right. In fact, even the docker questions have very low views there. I feel, with more and more people getting into docker, its time we have a dedicated site for docker enthusiasts. If you agree, please upvote :)

Depending on what you want to do with Docker, your question can almost certainly fit on one or more of DevOps (it's the #1 tag there), StackOverflow, SuperUser, or ServerFault.

  • However, I would like to bring something to your notice. It usually is days before someone even takes a look at the question if it has the docker tag. Like, for e.g., I asked this question about 3 days ago (which is definitely not a lot of days) but, even after putting a bounty on it, the number of views have just increased by 3. Am I getting too impatient, or have I asked the question in a wrong manner?

@d4rk4ng31 I agree ^^ there's not much action on the docker tags on any of those communities

@d4rk4ng31 then the solution is to bring Docker enthusiasts to those sites first. Creating a new site won't help if those enthusiasts won't join Stack Exchange in the first place.
