I have noticed that the Pickpocketing proposal was (for obvious reasons) not well received. While I suppose that urban exploration does not necessitate breaking any laws, I know it often involves trespassing on privately owned land (I may or may not be guilty of that). Would launching an UrbEx site be considered encouraging criminal activity?

To the downvoters: This isn't an advertisement or proposal. Just an honest question.

It depends on the example questions asked. If there's several questions that ask for advice on things like, how to tresspass private property, I won't be surprised if it gets closed.

You can always make your own site with an open-source clone of the SE code though. You can read the Wikipedia article about PhysicsOverflow (not Physics Stack Exchange, but the separately administered site that was created because people didn't like the mods on Physics SE).

@MicahWindsor No it's not. MathOverflow is part of the SE network. PhysicsOverflow is not. May 31, 2020 at 23:55
