Proposal: Operating Systems Development

This proposal was closed, but why? OSDev is really different from normal programming, like the programming discussed at SO.

As others will attack me with argument "no, they are the same" - why the Game Development came to beta, as it is covered by SO?

I figured, this is more to alert other people who see this question. It's too bad more discussion didn't happen on that post. – Matthew Read Sep 23 '11 at 19:05
  • And it looks like it won't on this one. Eh, so it seems we have to stick with osdev.org and #osdev @ freenode ;f – Griwes Sep 23 '11 at 19:16
  • Plainly idiots are moderators here ;f – Griwes Sep 24 '11 at 12:19
  • @Griwes Plainly idiots are moderators here I ABSOLUTELY agree with you, especially about a certain Jerk At the woods. – Camilo Martin Feb 3 '12 at 0:05
  • This is a classic StackOverflow question, "why is this closed? [closed]" Reminds me of "omg, why the downvotes [closed]" – nbura Oct 4 '13 at 20:21
