A while ago, my proposal that almost reached the second phase reached the time limit and was closed. If I click on my profile, it says I have no profile, no activity, etc. Is there any trace or hint that this proposal ever existed? Or has every trace of it been deleted?

After a year in development, the proposal only got about 11 of the 40 example questions needed to continue, so it was closed as no longer viable. You might be able to see it with a direct link: https://area51.stackexchange.com/proposals/103075/strategy … but generally no; old proposals which have been deleted are generally no longer visible.

Proposals which have been closed are eventually cleaned out by the maintenance process automatically to make room for new efforts without folks saying it's already been tried and closing it as a duplicate. I understand that this is not ideal in every situation, but unfortunately a better solution is not likely to be developed under the current process — See What's going on with Area 51?

  • Oh ok. I kind of think it's weird that they completely remove them from existence. I doubt they take up much space on the servers, but I could be wrong. Makes sense as to why they're removed from the main page though. For some reason, I remember it getting a lot closer than that. Oh well, thanks for the response.
