Working with a custom wiki based on MediaWiki, in the last year I had toubles to find the right home or question about it.
Sometime I had to post on StackOverflow, sometime on SuperUser and finally sometimeon ProWebmaster.
Wouldn't make more sense to create a site dedicate to MediaWiki, or to MediaWiki and other wiki software (DokuWiki, PmWiki and so on)?
This site would be home both to technical and organizational questions regarding the software, the extensions and the wiki as a general concept.
I see that a previous proposal for Wikis was deleted (here https://area51.stackexchange.com/proposals/49276/wikis), but I am not sure why this happened; and it was 2013.
Does it make sense to propose this again, or do you think chances are the proposal will still fail?
