I am a new contributor to Area 51. A user by the name of @TheSimpliFire recently formed a new proposal of a Q&A site called Math Challenges "for enthusiasts wanting to create and share their own mathematical challenges", and of which I would love to follow.

However, I unfortunately cannot access the New Site Staging Zone with my account, where the proposal has occurred. I have logged in, but when I head to the zone, it is recommending I again log in, whilst also requesting for me to check out the FAQ page. I have logged in multiple times with my Stack Exchange account after inserting my email and password, but in every attempt, I have been redirected to the same page where I was just ten seconds prior.

May somebody help me to overcome this problem? (e.g. here.)
Thank you in advance.

P.S. I do not know which tags are (most) appropriate for this particular question. Edit: It appears that this is a well-known bug, and remains unlikely of being fixed, thus far.

Related question: No redirection to https — @klutt.

Proposal: Math Challenges.

The bug is active when using Google Chrome, but not anymore with Safari. Even after using both web browsers simultaneously, it appears that Safari holds water! I intend on not closing this post and keeping it open for users to view this, especially those that underwent this bug!

  • I also began this question by writing, "Hello!" and for some reason, it has been cancelled out.

"Hello!" at the start of questions is always removed, that's also like this elsewhere in the network.

  • Hi @quid, thank you for letting me know. Have you any thoughts regarding my question? :)

  • Did you try to log in by clicking "log in" in the "top bar"? I'd start at area51.stackexchange.com click "log in" in the "top bar". And once that worked naviagte to the proposal.

  • @quid yes, but the bug is fixed now; i.e., to a certain extent.
