Proposal: Internet of Things

Well, we are in commitment stage. 34% commited.

Our overall recruitment is good, but our SE recruitment is unusually low.

Internet of Things

34% 69/200 committers in total

42% 42/100 committers with 200+ rep on any other site (Literature 60/100)

We are by far outscored by the Literature proposal that entered commitment stage the same day in terms of SE users. A lot of SE sites are technology based and have a lot of people who might share an interest in Internet of Things.

I urge everyone to use the community ads program if you think your usual StackExchange sites provide a good overlap of interest. It just needs six up votes on the corresponding meta sites (cf. Literature Ad on ELU). More SE users can also be found in the chats of such sites.

I am thinking there should be some overlap of interest with the people on Programmers, Electrical Engineering, Information Security, Robotics, Network Engineering and certainly some more.

If you use your promotion link, you even get referrals out of it and some shiny badges.

It's directly corralled to the lack of quality questions and specified scope in the proposal phase which is not a good sign for how the private beta will turn out. The only reason I committed is that this is my field of work and it will be easier to fix these issues in the beta then hoping we will get another chance to define it later.
