I've just earned the Curious badge on this "meta".

The badge description reads:

Ask a well-received question on 5 separate days, and maintain a positive question record.

But this question, the one you're reading right now, is my fifth question.

So how can I have asked questions on five separate days and earned this badge?

Answering a question in a comment: no, I have no recently deleted questions.

In addition to your four questions (prior to this one), you've also had six additional questions which have since been removed through the routine maintenance of proposals.

At some point, you must have had five active questions on the site at once to earn the badge. Even if you've since dropped below that that prerequisite five… once a badge is awarded, it is not generally removed.

  • Are you sure? I earned the badge here, not on the main site.

  • @SQB Your profile listed under discuss.area51 shows a total of 11 questions (5 active, 6 deleted). Check the 'questions' section of your profile. At the bottom, there may be a link to show 'deleted recent questions'. I'm not entirely certain if that feature was implemented on this site. Oct 7, 2015 at 20:13
  • No, as noted in the question, that shows no additional (deleted) questions.

  • @SQB As a non-moderator, you can't see deleted questions you've posted more than 60 days ago. (Of course, Robert can see your non-recent deleted questions.) But the system awards you the badge if you've had 5 "good days" (I don't want to disclose our formula for this, but, let's just say that deleted questions are not penalised as long as they're at least 60 days old at the time of deletion). • @SQB With your permission, I'll be happy to paste you a screenshot of the full list of your deleted questions. Then you can see that Robert isn't pulling your leg. Oct 7, 2015 at 23:14
  • @ChrisJester-Young Could you please post a link to it in a comment?
