There is a beta site I'd like to ask a "meta"-style question on. Apparently there isn't any way to do that - I guess that kind of makes sense, since it isn't 'graduated' yet. Nonetheless, this seems to be a serious handicap; what if you wanted to discuss how to reach the guidelines for graduating, where would that happen? The A51 site itself would seem inappropriate, since the question would be ... so meta.

PS I considered asking on meta.stackexchange but several questions there made it clear that this was the canonical place to ask about A51 schtuff.

Even private betas have their per-site metas. Users are encouraged to use them to discuss the shape of the future site. So this is a bug; which site is it?

Every community has a meta support site from day one. Click on either the 'Stack Exchange' icon or 'help' menu at the top. You should see a 'meta' link there.

  • Okay, I was just being stupid - yes that's the canonical place. For some reason I thought that there would be a "meta" link on the upper right. Was it the case that in the past sometime there was such a link on most sites?

  • So I'm not dreaming, at least! Thanks. See especially meta.stackexchange.com/a/198758/196058 - not even enough for a 'no' comment, sigh.
