No, not really. Super User is more specific to computers and software.

Super User is for computer enthusiasts and power users. If you have a question about …

  • computer hardware
  • computer software

and it is not about …

  • videogames or consoles
  • websites or web services like Facebook, Twitter, and WordPress
  • electronic devices, media players, cell phones or smart phones, except insofar as they interface with your computer
  • a shopping or buying recommendation

… then you’re in the right place to ask your question!

    @Ivo: Sure, but we can't place a moratorium on consumer electronics for all time because we had a failed site a bazillion years ago. It's a perfectly valid subject so, whether it's a change in the approach or the site or simply allowing the audience to embrace the subject organically, we'll have to watch for ways to assure some future site will not run into the same problems of the past.

The SU FAQ explicitly excludes "electronic devices, media players, cell phones or smart phones" so I'm inclined to say no, it's not covered for electronics other than computers.
