The gardening and landscaping site just went into private beta. When I logged into the new site for the first time my reputation was at "1". Is this correct?...or is something wrong? I was assuming that my reputation would follow me and that I would start off with more.

Area 51 reputation isn't tied to particular proposals; instead, it's for the overall A51 site itself. You haven't lost any rep here, but no, sorry, it doesn't transfer there with you.

Ok, thanks. It was weird to me that within minutes of the site being launched into private beta there were people with reputation in the hundreds already. I guess some people are just faster than me. – Shane Jun 9 '11 at 15:27
