how does one get involved during the commitment phase?

It's not extremely clear to me what is expected of me after pressing the commit button. I'd like to help.

Proposal: Coffee

That's really all there is until private beta starts.

Example questions are locked during this commitment phase. Should people curious about the commitment phase discuss the example questions in chat or in Area 51 Q&A?

For example, I have 2 questions, inspired by an example question:

1. Why can questions about opening a new coffee shop not be asked in Seasoned Advice?
2. Has Seasoned Advice Meta discussed an expansion of scope to cover business concerns of professional caterers?

Update I have found a question on Cooking.SE, a catering tag and a meta discussion that between them suggest to me that professional catering is in scope there:
