Stack Overflow is famous for its question ban, automatically imposed when enough questions get enough downvotes, usually closed and deleted as well.

Is there something like that here on Area 51? Suppose I got downvotes on sample questions in a site proposal and deleted those questions, does it have any long term impact?

No, Area 51 is not hooked into that system — at least not for the "example questions"; I'm not entirely sure about the meta/discussion section.

Thanks, this discussion site is using the "modern" engine so good chance the post ban is active, though very relaxed. Didn't you ever bump into a user with lots of highly downvoted questions? With your diamond you should see the post ban status afaik. :) Dec 2, 2014 at 7:17

Oh wait... being a per-site meta I'm quite sure it doesn't have a post ban. Dec 2, 2014 at 7:19
