Seeing there is an arbitrary nonelected dictator group or individual that can and does close proposals that are going through the proposal process without asking the community, in fact, directly going against the community, I feel that calling the Area 51 process a "democratic, community-driven process" is a downright lie.

Please remove this from the FAQ to prevent future confusion and disappointment.

  • Also please don't remove my comment again, it's relevant to the matter at hand. Thank you.

@AlexM. It absolutely is not. Please do not rant in comments. Thanks. Nov 11, 2014 at 14:53

@RobertCartaino I believe my opinion on the matter is very relevant. You deleting the question causing all this doesn't make you look very good either. Are you sure you should be the one silencing us?

@AlexM. But the matter you are referring does not address this feature request I'm assuming was made in good faith (which has been status-completed, by the way). Comments are not here for you to inject whatever discussion you wish to get into. Please stop. Nov 11, 2014 at 15:00
  • I still see the following text on the FAQ: "The creation of Stack Exchange sites is a community-driven process." and "Stack Exchange sites can only be created via the community-driven process at Area 51." Those should probably have "community-driven" removed too. Dec 12, 2014 at 16:51
