The proposal 'Home Automation' is at 100% in commitment for some weeks now. So my question is when it will reach beta?

I read some other articles like ['When does an Area 51 beta begin?', When does an Area 51 beta begin? . The answer there is: It depends because its done manually.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a schedule list where the interested users can see when a project should be put into beta?

Is there something we can do to improve it?

This question came from our discussion, support, and feature requests site for meta-discussion of the Stack Exchange family of Q&A websites.

  • Its over a year old. If it's put into beta (and it's possible it might not be given the slow trajectory) then waiting a month or two won't make a difference. – Adam Davis Oct 24 '14 at 13:32

There was a big SE meeting this week, stuff like that usually delays the launch of new sites. – Mad Scientist Oct 24 '14 at 13:43

This week. As mentioned in a comment, we had an annual all-hands type meeting last week that pushed back pretty much all of our projects.

But worry not; Home Automation Stack Exchange is coming soon to an internet near you!

Generally, we launch proposals into private beta 1-2 weeks after they hit 100% commitment (though that, of course, can vary depending on what else is happening).
