Proposal: Coffee

Could you share ideas on how to spread the word about a proposal?

  • The banner generated by the site is one thing but it gets as many views as the site it get to...
  • I have so many friends committed to coffee!
  • Random talks at coffee shops and roasters.

Yes, this lacks imagination---trying to find ideas as the proposal seems to stagnate for a few weeks. And living in a non-English speaking country helps little.

  • Thanks for your comment, Shadow Wizard. FB was one of my first moves. How about coordinating and have some of us get in touch with "famous" people in the domain, explain the vision, and try to get them on board? For topics like coffee, there are knowledgeable "masters" who hardly use internet. Perhaps we can work and help them put their wisdom online? If that's an idea, where is the best place to coordinate? Here is really not for chatting and such kind of I/O.

  • Really don't know, I'm not really a Coffee evangelist myself, just love it enough to be curious about this proposal. Sounds like you're trying to go bit too far, if I would really care so much about this site getting attention I would hire a graphic designer, create a poster and put it in coffee shops all around my living area, this would hopefully make some people curious enough to come and check it out, and draw existing Stack Exchange users who were not aware of it before.
