Are questions related to Tajweed of Qur'an on-topic on Arabic Language; since Islam covers questions related to Fiqh

Proposal: Arabic Language

I have been told by people at Islam.SE that such questions are off-topic there and have been pointed to this proposal instead, mainly because I think many there consider it language – Sammaye Oct 4 '14 at 18:20

@Sammaye Tajweed is a science by itself, I assume it should fit both Islam & Arabic language. Arabic is the language of Qur'an and first reference for Islam. – Omar Oct 5 '14 at 6:38

Tajweed is a science by itself, but we can create a tag called "Tajweed" for such questions as Arabic is the language of the Holy Qur'an including Tajweed science.

However, I think Tajweed questions fit more in Islam beta.

  • IMHO to some extent, Islam SE doesn't fit Tajweed as Islam SE is more into Fiqh issues, although Qur'an is the reference of Islam and it's Arabic. Arabic lang should accommodate questions in Tajweed because it is linguistic-related. – Omar Oct 7 '14 at 17:08
  • Qur'an is also the reference of Arabic language. – The Hiary Jul 10 '15 at 22:30
