Proposal: Computer Graphics

Potential http://cg.stackexchange.com site is now in 58% commitment phase. It needs more veteran StackExchange users (with knowledge in Computer Graphics, and high SE reputation) to enter Beta phase.
I think most of the main contributors of http://gamedev.stackexchange.com are experts in Computer Graphics, and it seems a good idea to invite them to the commitment phase. Here is their ranking by reputation:

I do not know of a method integrated to SE to send invitations to commit to the site ; but this can be done via other social networks (among them Twitter, LinkedIn).
So, if you know those experts, try to invite them to the commitment phase!

The typical way of doing this is to make a post at Game Development Meta to draw attention to the Computer Graphics proposal, and inviting users over there to commit to the proposal.

@senshin I'm sorry, but soliciting users through meta meta posts would not be allowed. I know it sounds like a harmless bit of promotion, but there are thousands of proposals who are looking for supporters, and opening the door to advertising of this kind would get out of hand quickly. I think we have a general PR problem. It seems to me a lot of high rep users (especially from gamedev.SE) are missing who would probably instantly commit if they knew about it. But it seems like a lot of people just don't know about it. The problem is that we don't have a "CG forum where everybody goes" in the first place, so there's no central place to really advertise it. On twitter, there's kind of a chain of computer graphics guys where everybody follows everybody involved. Would be nice to get one of them to tweet about it.

@RobertCartaino Really? So this and this and this and this aren't kosher? Is this explained in a FAQ or something?
