Proposal: Mythology

This is just a generic Q/A as to what questions we are looking for because it has arisen that there may be questions that don't follow the guidelines. Here are 5 questions that may not be good questions. I've explained them in the answer section.

What civilizations had a sun god?

What animals affected Egyptian Mythology?

Was "religious figure" actually born in x?

What is the best Roman "God Weapon"?

What are the similarities between various mythologies all around the world?

Good / bad questions should be discussed in the example questions instead. How do you imagine this will work anyway? Whether everyone just posts bad questions as answers or people ask if questions are okay, both of these would be better handled using example questions. Perhaps there's a need for a general "What does / does not make good questions" which you're forced to look at before posting an example question (not sure if this is done), but I don't think there's too much use for doing this on a per-site level. What Civilizations have a sun god?

This question isn't up to standards because it is a list question asking for all the mythologies. Instead try asking - "Did x civilization have a sun god?"

What animals affected Egyptian mythology?

This once again is a list question. Instead ask "Did "animal" affect Egpytian mythology?"

Was "religious figure" actually born in x?

This is straying from mythology and going into religion. While it may be considered a myth it isn't considered mythology.

What is the best Roman "God Weapon"?

This is opinion-based and is frowned upon. You should ask what the different characteristics of weapons are and then judge them for yourself.

What are the similarities between various mythologies all around the world?

There are so many mythologies that it would be impossible to answer this. It takes a huge list of same and differents. This would normally be considered a closed question for "unsure as what you are asking". Try to narrow it down like "Is there a similarity in warfare between X and y?"

I agree except for the best Roman "God Weapon" question. If you could change the question to Is there a documented best weapon used by the Roman Gods? that would fit in SO format.
