Proposal: Worldbuilding

Earlier, we had asked early followers to add new example questions, and you guys came through big. We currently have 49, though there's still plenty of room for more. (Honestly, we probably still need a few more good questions; we have quite a few with downvotes that probably are going nowhere.)

We need the equivalent of another 50 people still spending all of their votes (down from the initial 80). We've still got a long way to go.

I don't want to tell you how to vote, per se. You should vote your conscience. But I do want to point out one thing, and that is that we still need 29 questions with a score of 10 or more to move on to the commit phase. A vote for a question with less than 10 votes helps that, while one with 10 or more makes little difference.

If you don't like any of the questions here, please add your own. As I mentioned earlier, we're still in need of more good questions.

Above all, though, spend your votes!

  • OK, apparently somebody didn't like this. Care to explain why?

If you have to tell them how, when and where to vote, they are not going to be an asset to the site. Apr 3, 2014 at 19:30

I can see your point, but I respectfully disagree. That presumes that the only reason they aren't voting is because they don't care about the site. They cared enough to follow the site, so I don't think that's true. You have to understand that there are a lot of people who are completely new to Stack Exchange that follow any art-related proposal. Many of them haven't voted because they didn't know they were supposed to, or because there weren't very many questions here when they first visited. Also, posting a message like this is actually quite common, at least in the proposals that I've seen.

There is nothing wrong with a little advertising. It takes people to get other people organized sometimes. Have you considered that some of the users may not be veterans of other SE sites, let alone area 51? Keep it up RB.

  • So it looks like we've got a ton of new followers but none of them are voting or creating questions :( May 7, 2014 at 20:55
