Why cant we have a http://obituaries.stackexchange.com/ to share about high profile peoples? Eg: Steve Jobs, Dennis Ritchie

  • That is an amazing idea, but i cant see the users of this site ever approving it. As for matching the Q&A format, I think it could. Is Person X dead? Yes/ No.. evidence. Infact it would be a simple form. That specific information can be very difficult to obtain, especially if the person lives far away, or in some other nation. I am not simply referring to famous persons. From a legal persecutive, I have no idea about the laws regarding confidentiality of the diseased.

Because it doesn't fit a Question and Answer format?

Just because we have a hammer, doesn't make every problem a nail. Not everything has to suit the StackExchange model.

  • Just because we have a cliche doesn't mean we have to use it.
