Proposal: History of Science And Mathematics

The number of new followers per day seems to be dropping. At this rate, we'll likely make it to the required 60, but it would be nice not to scrape past. If anyone can think of anything to get some extra followers, please do so!

Remember that our final member count is going to be measured in dozens, not hundreds or thousands. That means that even drawing in two or three extra members is numerically significant! That amount can quite feasibly be gotten by posting the link on Facebook or simply showing it to your classmates or colleagues. If they're interested in the subject, they don't even have to be Stack Exchange users yet - just say it's "a popular network of science and technical Q&A sites", and show them the math or physics sites.

Remember also that we're not aiming to be limited to math and physics, biology and chemistry experts/students are more than welcome!

I've personally posted this site on my social networks and gotten several positive responses, I would be telling real life people about it too if I weren't in a non-anglophone country.

  • Actually the curent slowing down of followers is very normal and no reason to worry – reaching 40 questions with 10 or more votes is by far the more difficult goal. That is not to say that we should not put energy into attracting more followers (after all we need 200 for phase 2) – just that there is no reason to panic.
