Proposal: Gamification

The proposal failed last time due to various reasons.

What should we do, both now and in the future stages, to ensure success?

I think one of the critical components of success this time around would be exposure. A variety of individuals with various backgrounds that are currently using gamification would help, but that is not a requirement. What we need are users interested in gamification. People asking and answering questions about gamification in use... not just the idea of gamification. questions and answers such as the best way to balance rewards. Best practices to reward repeat customers. How not to allow a reward system to interfere with current business sales. Etc etc.

I like your answer, but "best" should be replaced with "how". In each question there will be methods in each answer, but a "best" overall is unlikely... there isn't a best game design after all. Commented Jan 2, 2015 at 5:30

Agreed... but I think in this sense my use of best was in the "best practice" frame of mind as in within the paradigm of "how to benefit the most individuals with the simplest answer to integrate and adopt" ... Law of Parsimony.

  • Agreed as well... There definitely are best practices. Commented Jan 2, 2015 at 16:07
