Proposal: Hinduism

It would be very helpful and motivating if the members, instead of just following the proposal of the site, actually took part actively in the site's proceedings. As of the current situation, the number of votes cast on the questions (both upvotes and downvotes) seem to be far less than that can actually be cast by the members of a proposal with 90+ strength.

Just upvoting good questions alone won't help us to get past into the commitment phase. We also need more good example questions (I don't mean that what we have now are not good). When I am writing this, there are 93 members following this proposal. If everyone could write even 2 example questions out the maximum 5 allowed, this site would have 186 example questions. This would greatly help us in the process of successfully passing out from Area51.

  • Asking curious questions may help the enthusiast and learners. It can attract others to know more about hinduism

I have posted a question and it was put to hold suggesting me out of topic. The reason being, the you cannot post questions while the proposal is in commitment phase, the get through the commitment phase faster is to get more and more committers for the proposal.

You can look at the comments on My demo question to better understand. We could ask more question while this proposal is in private beta.

Because there is no need for posting example questions. We have already cleared definition phase . Now we are in commitment phase , and need 134 more committed user. For asking question you need to wait for completion of commitment phase. After that it will be in private beta and committed user will be able to ask or answer question. Can you please clarify that what should be the basis of asking the questions. I mean are following topics right to start the discussion

  1. Rituals and rites
  2. Anything with holy books like Ramayana, Mahabharat etc
  3. Related to festival
  4. Dates and Time for worship.. etc

Is there anything that is not worth to ask or anything more to ask. Please tell this other commiters too.
