Proposal: Web Design

HTML / Javascript / CSS and many other tags are already handled by Webmasters site.

Why would you start a separate proposal for web design?

It's also a duplicate of Stack Overflow and Graphic Design

Well yes and no. You see webmasters is for people who maintain the web sites in my opinion. And also, Stack Overflow relates to any programming, but even though web design can also be classified as programming, I feel that it deserves to have its own stack exchange. Apart from this, Graphic Design can mostly relate to designers, whether it is for stuff like logos, or any other graphics not necessarily web sites. This is only for people who want to ask about making websites.

  • I stand by my answer adding that User Experience is bout experience in life mostly, and other questions which do not fall under a stack exchange website unless one is created.... as to graphic design, read my answer above. Jul 8, 2013 at 14:49

  • ok, let me ask one thing.... since apparently all question about web design seem to be spread out between websites, don't you think it is better to have them all in one place? Jul 8, 2013 at 15:00

Well, to have a site for a topic thats already covered, 1) you will need to get a lot of support behind it, 2) you will need to make a much stronger case as to why the current model is insufficient. I personally dont think we need one site, but if you believe we do, post your (stronger) arguments for it (here or separately).

  • If things relate to a certain main topic they shouldn't be scattered around where nobody will find them. This proposal would help anyone to easily find Qs & As about web design. Using the argument put forth, there is stackoverflow so we can close TeX-LaTeX, there is Unix & Linux so we can close Ask Ubuntu or they should have never been opened as according to your argument, they are duplicates. But they're live, & that is why I think a web design stack exchange should be done. Jul 8, 2013 at 17:07
  • @markscamilleri - TeX-LaTeX is about typesetting systems, not programming

  • ok then I take back about TeX-La TeX, but you can't say that to Unix/Linux and Ubuntu. Jul 8, 2013 at 19:52
