I +1d the post --- is there anywhere else that we can promote this? I put it on the ShapeOko wiki and made a post about it on the forums there....

Area51 to me is the antithesis of the Stack Exchange network. I come here and never can figure out how to contribute or help in any way. I'm here today because of the grabCAD email.

I found this question and +1d on Google. I do 3D printing, CAD work helping toolmakers make molds for me, and design items to be CNCd for my products. I am a businessman, not a mechanical engineer; my CAD programs can be unopened for months... and when in a project, OPEN for months.

And if I could find who is responsible for how Area51 operates on OTHER SE sites, I would stalk them and downvote everything they ever did. I really hate Area51 navigation that much compared to my other SE sites.

  • Yeah, Area51 can be confusing. On a positive note, this proposal has entered private beta so hopefully it will be up and running soon.
