Proposal: Health

There are many health practitioners who do not practice evidenced based medicine, but rather a medicine based on tradition and culture. Should answers that refer to these methods be acceptable, or only answers that are in line with evidence based medicine/western medicine. (Assuming the question hasn't explicitly referred to these alternative medicines or practices)

Yes, in answers. It's not a matter of Western medicine vs. other modalities; it's simply a matter of what has evidence to support it.

If it's non-falsifiable, or has no hard studies to back it up, it doesn't belong in an answer here. Setting this standard early will avoid protracted debates down the road.

That being said, questions about alternative therapies are totally fine, as long as the answers are fact-based.
