I was trying to share the link for the upcoming Space Exploration, to get more users. After all, it's just about to beta.

And then, aghast, I was taken by complete surprise by the reason that a NASA forum deleted my topic.

Sorry, we're having nothing to do with a site that's titled Area 51, for obvious reasons.

I partly just wanted to share the funny story, but seriously, I don't imagine there's any way to link without using the Area 51 URL?

    There's no way (that I know of) for people to commit without visiting the Area51 page, but once you get to private beta, you can generate a shareable link which will get people in via the "Invite experts" thing on the right. It bypasses Area51 entirely. I've seen mods do this, so I assume it's alright to share such links on internet fora.

No, seriously, we only need 14 people to commit to this as of writing, we should try to get these from any source we can. One the site launches, I imagine it will be https://space.stackexchange.com/, and that will avoid this problem entirely.

I think you should post the URL to the place where you tried originally to bring this up, so that more of us can go there and participate in such nefarious deeds as talking about a Stack Exchange beta before NASA sends over their heavies. We wouldn't want to have to flee to Hong Kong!
